About Cream City Maintenance LLC
In February the acreage around State Fair Park is the quietest ground in West Allis — the lots empty, the grandstand shut, wind coming across open pavement with nothing at all to slow it. Cream City Maintenance LLC does the winter work that keeps the rest of the town moving through that stretch: plowing drives and lots, opening walks and entries, salting the corners that ice over first. Storms rarely arrive at a convenient hour, so the schedule bends to the sky rather than the clock. There is a plain kind of pride in pulling up at four in the morning and leaving black pavement behind. Come the thaw nobody remembers the night, which is rather the point.
