Lakeview Landwork

About Lakeview Landwork

By February the lakes around Webster are a foot of ice under a blanket, and the snow that comes off them has nowhere to go but the driveways. Lakeview Landwork runs the plow through those nights — opening drives that vanished between dusk and dawn, pushing banks back off the corners so you can see the road before you are already in it. Walks are cleared to the step and the mailbox approach is opened, small things that decide whether a winter morning goes easily or not at all. Up here storms come in threes and the second one always lands on what the first one left, so the job is as much about where the snow goes as how it gets moved. There is a specific quiet in a cleared drive at first light, the yard still white and the way out already made.
