Snow patrol plowing

About Snow patrol plowing

There is a particular flat, pewter sky that settles over the pines near Pine Mountain a few hours before it starts, and by then Snow patrol plowing already has the route in mind. Across Breitung Charter Township the work is steady and unshowy: push it back, keep it back, come around again when the storm does. Driveways, lots and walkways get opened so the morning can go the way it was supposed to go. This corner of Michigan can hand out fifteen inches and a Tuesday commute in the same breath, and the answer is simply to be out in it first. Clear pavement under a heavy sky is its own kind of view.
