A Glewen & Sons

About A Glewen & Sons

North of Waupun the fields run flat out to the horizon, and when the wind gets a running start across them the snow doesn't fall so much as travel. A Glewen & Sons works that country in the dark hours, plowing driveways and lots and cutting back the drifts that build against every windbreak and fence line. There is a particular satisfaction in the moment the headlights swing around and the blacktop is simply there again, black and wet and open. Salt and sand go down where the wind has polished a surface to glass. By the time the first kitchen lights come on along the county roads, the way out is already clear.
