Waupaca Lawn & Garden

About Waupaca Lawn & Garden

High summer on the residential streets north of downtown, the old oaks throw enough shade to slow the grass in some yards and none at all in others, so no two lawns get quite the same cut. Waupaca Lawn & Garden works those blocks one at a time — weekly mowing, trimming around trunks and posts, edges run along the sidewalk, clippings cleared off the walk. Sandy ground and a hot July can brown a lawn in ten days, so the cutting height rises the moment the weather says so. There is a plain pleasure in the after: lines even, the shade line crossed without a scalped patch, the drive swept clean. By late September the evenings cool and the color returns, and the last cuts of the year are the prettiest ones.
