The village grew up along the railroad, and the tracks still run through it past the elevator, straight as a ruler across ground that was farmed long before it was ever mowed. Trotta Landscape works the properties on either side of that line: cutting and trimming lawns, opening yards in spring and closing them in fall, and plowing drives and walks once winter takes the place over. Blue hour in December — that half-lit stretch before sunrise — is when most of the snow work happens, headlights out front and a scraped path widening behind the truck. In June the same route runs to mower engines and a full trailer by noon. The place keeps asking for both, and both get done.
