About latitudeslandscaping

At about 46 degrees north, Washburn lives by its latitude: brief summers, early frosts, and autumns that set the maple ridges above town burning orange and scarlet. There's a fitting note in the name latitudeslandscaping, a lawn care business working this far up the map. The work runs from late spring's first mow to the final trim of fall, keeping lawns trimmed and tidy-edged as the daylight shortens. On a cool September afternoon, with leaves skittering down from the hills and Lake Superior gone steel-blue, a freshly cut yard stands out clean and composed. Up here every growing day counts, and none of them should be spent on a ragged lawn.
