About Stockyard Tree Service

Vernon County is farm country in every direction you leave Viroqua — dairy along the ridges, produce down in the valleys, gravel drives running back toward the barn. Stockyard Tree Service keeps yards on that kind of property, and in town as well, mowed, trimmed and cleaned up, then takes on the snow once plowing season opens. A farmyard lawn is wide and irregular, running up against machine sheds and fence lines, and doing it thoroughly means taking the mower where it is awkward to go. In winter the same yard needs a path to the barn and a drive opened wide enough for the milk truck. It is practical work, and it is the kind that makes a place easier to live in.
