About Sacred Ground Landscape Design

Down in the coulees around Viroqua the fog pools overnight and lifts slowly, and the springs run cold all summer beneath the hillsides. Sacred Ground Landscape Design tends lawns in that landscape — mowing and trimming, edging where grass meets garden and the woods' edge, and clearing each season's leavings as it turns. Ground like this rewards attention: a lawn that stops where it ought to, a slope cut cleanly, a yard sitting easily inside the valley it was built into. The work has quiet in it, especially early, mower running while the hills still hold their shade. By late October the leaves are down, the beds are cleared, and the yard is put to bed.
