About Glacier Landscape Inc.

The hill at Prairie Moraine is a leftover — a long low ridge of gravel an ice sheet parked here and never came back for, marking the line where glaciated Dane County stops and the Driftless hills begin. Glacier Landscape Inc. works both sides of that line, on ground that has been shaping itself for ten thousand years and now needs mowing every Thursday. Warm months mean cutting, edging, bed maintenance, mulch, cleanups in spring and again when the oaks finally let go. Cold months mean plowing, shoveling and ice control before sunrise, which in a Verona January is a generous hour to be given. Something about doing careful work on old ground makes the small results — a true edge, a bare driveway — feel worth the trouble.
