Kurty K's Snow & Lawn

About Kurty K's Snow & Lawn

Down by the harbor the old fishing village still smells of the lake, and the breakwater light keeps watch over boats coming back up the channel. Kurty K's Snow & Lawn works those blocks and the ones climbing away from the water: grass cut and trimmed all summer, snow pushed and walkways opened all winter. There is a rhythm to it that suits a harbor town, where you go when the weather says go rather than when it is convenient. A February shift begins at four with the blade down and ends with a row of driveways squared at the corners and salt laid where the aprons want to glaze. By May the mower has taken over again, and the same yards come back green.
