The first mow of May in Sussex is a small event — grass finally tall enough to matter, air still cool enough to work in a sweatshirt, and that smell carrying down the whole block. Tyler's Lawn Care opens the season on Main Street terraces and back yards alike: cleanup first, then a cut, then edges recut where winter blurred them. From there it's weekly all summer, trimming close to the stoop and the garden beds, keeping the sidewalk free of clippings. Mulch goes down around the shrubs, and in fall the leaf work runs until the grass shows again. A tidy yard is a modest thing to want, and it's satisfying to hand one back every week.
