About DeLuca and Hartman, Inc.

At four in the morning the corridor along Highway 151 is nothing but sodium light and blowing snow, and that is exactly the hour DeLuca and Hartman, Inc. is out working. Plowing lots and drives, opening aprons and walkways, spreading salt where the melt will lock back up before first light — the bulk of it finished while Sun Prairie is still dark. February storms arrive here on a northwest wind with miles of open field to run across, so what was cleared at midnight can want another pass by dawn. The measure of a night is simple: bare pavement, a curb line you can actually see, doors that open. When the town wakes and never thinks about the snow at all, the night went well.
