About Acme Household Services

Late May in Sun Prairie has an hour all its own — the rain slides off east over the farm ground, the sun comes back, and every lawn in town grows while you watch. Acme Household Services takes those weeks at the pace they demand: mowing on a set day, trimming tight along fences and foundations, edging the walks on the older streets where the bungalows sit close together. Wet spring grass is stubborn stuff, and getting an even cut out of it is the whole reason for showing up. Come autumn the same routes turn to cleanup work, the leaves hauled off before they mat down over the turf. What the neighbors notice is small and worth doing — a swept walk, a straight line along the drive, a yard that looks tended rather than merely cut.
