About Badgerland Irrigation and Lighting Service

South and west of Stoughton the land opens into Rutland's old prairie ground, black soil that holds July heat long after the sun goes down. Lawns out there ask for attention in that heat — even cutting, a sharp trim along the walks, feeding and thatch pulled out so the roots can breathe. Badgerland Irrigation and Lighting Service tends turf on those terms, reading a yard by its dry corners and its shade. By evening the cut is uniform, the clippings are off the drive, and the whole lot has that settled green that only comes from being kept, week after week. It is unglamorous work, and it shows every single time.
