Blessed Blades

About Blessed Blades

On a Sunday morning on Sheboygan's south side the streets go quiet enough to hear a mower two blocks off, and the oaks above Indian Mound Park hold their shade all afternoon. Blessed Blades takes its name seriously enough to keep them sharp — a cleanly cut blade of grass heals, while a torn one browns at the tip. Mowing, trimming, edging and the seasonal clearing of yards make up the week, property after property, from the first flush of May growth to the slow last cuts of October. The reward is modest and entirely real: a lawn that looks cared for from the sidewalk, and a homeowner who no longer has to think about it.
