About Xcellent Home Services

By the Sunday after Labor Day the cottages along the north shore of Shawano Lake begin closing up, and the yards out there go quiet for the season. Xcellent Home Services tends those lawns and the year-round ones in town alike — mowing, trimming, edging, and the cleanups that open the spring and close the fall. Grass near the water grows unevenly, thick where the sun reaches and thin under the shore pines, and it takes attention more than speed. September light in Shawano County comes in low and clear, and a lawn cut in it looks like a photograph of itself. Leaving a place better than you found it is the plain measure of the job.
