Shawano Lawn & Stone Company

About Shawano Lawn & Stone Company

The glacier left this ground full of stone, and nearly every fenceline around Shawano has a pile at the corner where a century of plowing pushed it. Shawano Lawn & Stone Company works that same durable ground — mowing, trimming and edging through the season, cleanups once in the mud of April and once in the last dry week of October, and snow cleared off drives, walks and lots when the year turns hard. Lawns here sit on sand in one yard and heavy clay two blocks over, and the mowing changes to suit. In winter those same lots have to be read differently: where to push, where to stack, how to leave room for February. What lasts is a property that holds its shape no matter what the weather is doing to it.
