About Lakeview Revival WI Inc.

By February a small city of shanties stands out on Shawano Lake, smoke going straight up in the cold, and the roads down toward the landings have to stay open for it. Lakeview Revival WI Inc. does the snow work that keeps Shawano moving in those months — plowing driveways and lots, clearing walkways, opening what the wind closed overnight. Storms here often arrive on a hard northwest push, so a drive can be scraped clean at midnight and drifted shut by five. That is simply the arrangement, and the answer is another pass. There is a particular satisfaction in the last sweep of a lot, when the pavement shows dark and the banks sit square at the edges.
