About Carpenter Snow & Ice Services

Cold pools in the bottom of the valley at Richland Center — the ridges hold it there all night, and by three in the morning a driveway can be a sheet of glass. Carpenter Snow & Ice Services runs snow removal through those hours, plowing, opening walks and treating ice so the trip down to the highway is honest under the tires. Storms come up the coulees and then hit sideways along the open ridge tops, which means the same address is never quite the same job twice. The reward is simple and it never gets old: black pavement at daybreak, the mailbox reachable, a car that backs out without a second thought. Winter is long in this corner of Wisconsin, and this is one way it gets shorter.
