About Cook's Landscaping

The glacier left Rice Lake a rumpled country of low hills and kettles, and half the yards in town sit on a slope some ice sheet shaped and then walked away from. Cook's Landscaping mows those grades the way they want to be mowed, following the contour, trimming the awkward corners a mower cannot reach, edging where turf meets drive and bed. September is the best of it — cool mornings, the grass thick again after August, the smell of cut green hanging longer in the air. A lawn that looks right on uneven ground is harder than it appears, and worth the trouble. That is the work Cook's Landscaping does around Rice Lake.
