Makovsky Brush Service

About Makovsky Brush Service

Prentice sits where Highway 13 crosses US 8 in Price County, and in deep winter the snow drifts across that crossroads, banking hard against the spruce along the field edges. Makovsky Brush Service keeps drives and yards passable through the cold months, then turns to lawn care when the thaw finally works its way this far north. Brush is always creeping in from the woodline up here, and holding it back is part of keeping a clearing a clearing. After a storm, a plowed drive runs straight and dark from the road to the door. By summer, short green grass covers the ground where the snowbank stood.
