About Coleman Outdoor Services

Blackhawk Avenue at closing time, storefront windows going warm — that is the hour Coleman Outdoor Services likes best, when the day's mowing is behind and the town settles. Summer means the grass down and the string-trimmed corners that make the difference, leaves gathered before the wind puts them back. Winter means the plow out before anyone's alarm, walks scraped to bare concrete, salt on the step that ices. Prairie du Chien sits low against the Mississippi and weather gets to it early, without much warning. Being the outfit already out in it is the good part, and a cleared drive is a promise kept in a form you can see from the road.
