Luna Tree Care

About Luna Tree Care

On a clear night in Port Washington the moon lays a road straight across the harbor to the breakwater light, and the bluff above town goes black and soft with trees. Those trees live a hard life this close to Lake Michigan — wind with an edge on it all winter, gales out of the northeast, roots pinched between the bluff and the old streets. Luna Tree Care removes what the lake has finished off, trims crowns to take some of the sail out of them, and prunes the maples and lindens up around the church hill so they hold their shape instead of splitting. After a northeaster there is always a limb down across the walk and a yard full of small stuff, and it all goes out the same day. Come morning the house has its light back and the canopy has less for the lake to grab.
