Curby's Compost Service

About Curby's Compost Service

By November the maples in the ravines above town let go all at once, and the yards fill faster than anyone can rake. Curby's Compost Service is built for exactly that armful — leaves gathered and hauled, clippings kept out of the bin, organic matter put back where it does some good instead of going to the curb for good. The last cuts of the year get made, the beds get cleared, and the turf is left breathing under a thin even layer rather than a sodden mat. Come April the difference shows up plainly in the color of the grass. Port Washington yards give back what they are given, and this is one way of giving.
