About Forefront, LLC

Downtown's limestone storefronts hold the day's heat long after the sun drops behind the western hills, and that is when Platteville's grass does most of its growing. Forefront, LLC tends the green that frames the town — boulevard strips, setbacks, the lawns behind offices, the corner lots everybody cuts across on the way to Second Street. Mowing runs on a rhythm, trimming follows it, and the edges along the walks come out sharp enough that a whole block looks looked-after. Leaves come down in one long week here, and they are hauled off before the first cold rain mats them into the turf. It is plain work, and the town wears it well.
