About River Valley Landscapes, LLC

In Plain, a church steeple and a hilltop shrine keep watch over a village folded into the steep Driftless hills a few miles north of the Wisconsin River. River Valley Landscapes, a landscaping business by trade, puts its effort into snow removal when winter comes, plowing and clearing driveways once storms bury the hills of Sauk County. Roads here climb and twist, and a driveway that tilts up a slope has to be cleared thoroughly so nobody's morning starts with a slide. After a fresh snowfall the hills go silent and blue in the early light, with farms scattered across them like white-roofed toys. Opening the way through country this beautiful never quite feels like a chore.
