Kent Family's Yard Maintenance

About Kent Family's Yard Maintenance

Five in the morning on an Oregon side street after a storm: porch lights on, nobody out yet, the whole block still under an unbroken lid of white. That is the hour Kent Family's Yard Maintenance works, plowing driveways and shoveling walks so the block is passable by the time the school buses swing through and the first commuters back out toward town. Snow removal is a business of small mercies — a clear path from the door to the car, a mailbox approach opened, an apron scraped so the afternoon melt has nowhere to set up and refreeze. Village blocks here sit close together and every driveway has its own quirk of pitch and drift. Getting each one right, before dawn, is the craft.
