Inside Out Field Services

About Inside Out Field Services

East of the village the ground opens toward the marshes and the wind has nothing to lean on, so snow does not stay where it falls — it travels, and it piles against whatever stands still. Inside Out Field Services is a snow removal outfit built for exactly that: plowing driveways and lots, cutting walkways open, and coming back when a drift rebuilds itself across a lot line after the storm has technically ended. Nights in Oregon during a blow are all headlights and moving white, the county roads reduced to two dark ruts. Morning is the reward — a property sitting clear and flat, ground down to pavement, the drift shoulder pushed well back where it belongs. Sandhill cranes will be working those fields again by March; until then the job is keeping ground open.
