About Norse Lawn Service, LLC

The township still keeps the name its Norwegian settlers left on it, and the country around Heg Park runs much the way they found it: oak, marsh, and water in nearly every direction. Norse Lawn Service, LLC works that ground all twelve months — mowing, trimming and edging through the green half of the year, with cleanups at either end of it. When the cold takes over, the routes turn into plow routes: driveways and lots cleared, walks shoveled, salt down where the ice wants to set up. There is something steadying about knowing both halves of a place, the July heat coming off Wind Lake and the January wind crossing it. The lawn in summer and the drive in winter are the same promise, kept twice.
