About Hartwig Excavating Inc

On a January night in Neshkoro, the cold runs so deep that snow squeaks under a boot and the scrub oaks stand stiff and silent along the roadsides. Hartwig Excavating Inc, an excavating company by trade, brings that line of work to snow removal when storms bury the village. Moving earth and moving snow ask for the same things: a steady hand on the controls, a feel for where the load wants to go, and the patience to finish square. Heavy storms can leave a hard ridge of plowed snow across the mouth of a drive, exactly the kind of weight this work is built to shift. Daylight finds the pavement dark and open, the banks pushed well back and the drive open to the road.
