About CN Lawn Care & Stump Grinding LLC

August evenings in Wood County belong to the cranberry marshes south of town, where the flat beds hold the last of the light and the air turns green and cool. CN Lawn Care & Stump Grinding LLC works the yards of Nekoosa in that long amber hour — mowing, trimming out to the fence posts, edging a walk so the line reads sharp all the way from the street. A stump that has been in the way since the storm took the tree goes down below grade, and by the next season the grass has closed over the place it stood. When the river country turns white the same trucks come back with plows, opening drives and cutting a path to the porch steps. It is ordinary work, done attentively, and it makes a yard feel looked after.
