About A.M. Forestry LLC.

The Wisconsin River runs wide and slow past Nekoosa, and on January nights it lays a low silver fog over the pines that line the sand roads. A.M. Forestry LLC. keeps the hours its name suggests, out at the dark end of the night when a plow light is the only thing moving between here and the county line. Winter work in this stretch of Wood County is mostly a matter of reading wind — which way it will pack a drift against a garage door, where it will scour one lane bare and bury the next. The reward arrives with first light: a drive opened clean to the pavement, the mailbox approach squared off, the walk cut wide enough to carry groceries two-handed. That is the work, storm after storm, for the homes and businesses along the river.
