About Snow Begone LLC

At Kimberly Point, where the Fox River slips out of Lake Winnebago and the little lighthouse takes the weather full in the face, winter comes off open water with nothing in its way. Snow Begone LLC works the hours before that wind wakes the rest of Neenah — plow lights swinging across a driveway at four in the morning, blade down, salt going out behind. A drive taken all the way to the pavement is a small, exact thing, and it is the whole job: the car backs out clean, the mail reaches the box, nobody's boot finds ice at the bottom step. Walks and stoops get shoveled square to their edges rather than rounded off, and the banks get pushed back far enough to stay out of the sightline. By the time the sky over the lake turns from black to pewter, the work is already behind them.
