About Fickau Landscape

By late August the rain turns stingy in this corner of Wisconsin and lawns start telling on themselves — the high spots fade first, the shade under the bur oaks holds out longest. Fickau Landscape reads that in Mukwonago yards and raises the deck, stretches the interval, and lets the turf ride out the dry stretch instead of being mowed into it. Then a front finally comes through, the ground drinks, and inside a week the color runs back across the whole lot. Mowing, trimming and edging pick up their rhythm again; aeration, overseeding and fall fertilization set up next spring while the soil still has warmth in it. Knowing when not to cut is part of lawn care too.
