Madison Snow Removal

About Madison Snow Removal

A January storm crossing Dane County can bury a Monona driveway twice in one night, once on the way through and again on the wind that follows it off the frozen lake. Madison Snow Removal builds its work around that fact, running the route, then running it again, so a cleared drive is still a cleared drive at seven in the morning. Plowing opens the pavement, shoveling takes the walk and the steps down to the surface, and salt goes where the day's brief thaw will turn to glass after dark. Around the lake and up into the Madison neighborhoods, the streets fill and empty and fill again all winter, and none of it waits for daylight. Getting somebody out to the car without a shovel in their hand is the entire pride of the job.
