About K & K Lawn Service, Inc.

The old rail bed leaves Mondovi heading east as the Buffalo River State Trail, and the grade it left behind runs through half the yards in this part of Buffalo County. K & K Lawn Service, Inc. mows that country all summer, out where a lot can carry a flat stretch, a bank, and a wet corner that stays soft until July. Evenings in June are the reward, the cut going down even and the smell of it hanging in the valley air until dark. Then the year turns, and the same trucks come back with blades on to plow drives and lots through a west-central Wisconsin winter that does not negotiate. Mowing, trimming, plowing, clearing: whatever the month happens to be asking for.
