Spring Green

About Spring Green

April along Silver Spring Drive is a negotiation — a warm week, then a cold rain blowing in off the water, then grass growing faster than anyone planned for. Lawn care in Shorewood and the north-side blocks starts while the ground is still soft: clearing off what winter left behind, then mowing on a steady schedule and edging where the turf creeps over the walk. Spring Green keeps Milwaukee yards on that rhythm from the first cut of the year through the last of the fall. There is a plain pleasure in coming home to even, banded lines running across a front lawn. The growing season is short this far north, which is exactly why it's worth getting right from the start.
