About Bengie's LAWN CARE & Snow Removal.LLC

Riverwest keeps odd hours, and so does this work. Bengie's LAWN CARE & Snow Removal.LLC handles the warm months with mowing, trimming, edging, mulch and cleanups, then turns around in December to plow the drives, shovel the walks and salt the steps that ice over behind these tall old flats. The Milwaukee River bends along the eastern edge of the neighborhood, close enough that the damp hangs in the air on a gray March afternoon. Small yards, big trees, gravel alleys — every property has its own puzzle, and solving it is most of the pleasure. A block that looks tended in July and passable in January is a block somebody is looking after.
