About Turf's Up LLC

Stand on the bluff at Virmond Park in October and Lake Michigan sends its weather ashore in long grey rollers — wind first, then everything after. Turf's Up LLC works that same coastline of yards a few streets inland, mowing and trimming through the last warm weeks and hauling off the leaves the maples give up all at once. Then the year flips: the deck comes off, the plow goes on, and Mequon driveways get opened lane by lane while the lake keeps throwing snow across Ozaukee County. Nothing about that changeover is graceful, but the result is — a clean cut in September, a clean strip of blacktop in January. The name is a joke about surf; the work is entirely about ground.
