About 4 Control

Morning comes up off the Red Cedar in a low silver mist, and by the time it burns away the lawns on that side of Menomonie have already been cut. 4 Control works the grass here on a steady rhythm — mowed even, trimmed close along the walks and fence lines, the clippings blown back off the concrete before the truck rolls out. There is a plain satisfaction in a yard that reads as finished: the stripes running true, a clean line where turf gives way to driveway. Summers between the river and the lake run warm and wet, and Wisconsin grass answers by growing fast, so the schedule matters as much as the blade. Menomonie yards get the attention, and so do the smaller places out the county roads.
