About Shavin and Slippin Outdoors LLC

At three in the morning the red breakwater light is the only color out on the harbor, and a snow band is stacking up on North Eighth Street faster than anybody could sleep through it. Shavin and Slippin Outdoors LLC is awake for exactly that — plowing drives, shoveling steps and walks, salting the slick places where the wind polished everything to glass. Manitowoc wakes to streets that look like a great deal of trouble and to its own driveway already standing open. The first tire tracks on the block belong to them. By breakfast the sky has gone hard blue and cold, and the lake steams, and the night's work is finished.
