About Karl's Excavating Inc

This is a city that built submarines on its own river, so nobody here is startled by heavy machinery doing serious work at an unreasonable hour. Karl's Excavating Inc handles snow removal around Manitowoc: plowing drives and lots, clearing access, stacking and pushing back the banks a long winter piles up. At two in the morning after a lake-effect storm, a loader working a parking lot is one of the more hopeful sounds in the county, because it means the place opens on time. Big snow calls for equipment that does not flinch at it. The measure of the job is pavement, edge to edge, before the first car arrives.
