About Shadian landscaping

The Ahnapee State Trail leaves Casco Junction on an old rail bed, and in October it becomes a corridor of yellow ash and sumac with the harvested fields opened up on either side. Shadian landscaping works that country through the whole calendar — mowing, trimming and edging while the grass is running, then leaf cleanups once the wind starts stripping the fencerows bare. After that the trucks go over to snow: drives plowed, walks cleared, salt spread where ice comes back morning after morning. Kewaunee County weather does not negotiate, so the work is simply to stay ahead of it. Luxemburg, Casco, Algoma, Kewaunee and Rio Creek.
