Nabbefeld Land Improvements

About Nabbefeld Land Improvements

Lone Rock takes its name from a solitary sandstone landmark that river travelers once steered by on the Wisconsin, and the town still keeps a little of that landmark spirit. Nabbefeld Land Improvements tends lawns in the community, beginning each spring as the valley greens up and the river runs high with snowmelt. Mowing here is about rhythm and attention: even passes, clean borders along drive and foundation, a yard that looks deliberate. On May evenings the scent of new-cut grass and river air drifts across the valley floor. A lawn kept this way becomes a modest landmark of its own, a well-kept place you notice on the way through town.
