About Back 40 Land Management LLC

The back forty is where a Grant County farm quits pretending to be flat. Around Lancaster the ridges run out in long green fingers and fall away into coulees that hold their fog until nine in the morning, and a yard up there has to be mowed with one eye on the grade. Back 40 Land Management LLC handles that lawn work — mowing, string trimming, edging and hauling off whatever the season drops. There is a plain kind of pride in a ridge-top lawn cut clean out to the fence posts while the valley below is still white. It is honest ground, and it looks best when someone has been over it with care.
