R & K Snow Plow Services & Truck

About R & K Snow Plow Services & Truck

Four in the morning on Wrigley Drive: shops dark, the lake a flat black band past the Riviera, six inches of new snow lying over all of it. R & K Snow Plow Services & Truck is the only sound in that quiet — blade scraping, backup alarm, the long push toward the far end of a lot. By the time the first cars come down for coffee, the lot is squared off, the walks are open, and the piles sit where they won't block anybody's sightline. Plowing is a trade of hours nobody else wants, done for people who will mostly never see it happen. That's fine. The bare pavement says it for them.
