About Wetzel Lawn Care, LLC

In the older blocks of La Crosse — brick and clapboard, deep front porches, the boulevard terraces between sidewalk and curb — a lawn is the first thing the street sees. Wetzel Lawn Care, LLC keeps those small greens honest: mowed on a rhythm, edged so the concrete shows a crisp line, fed enough to hold its color through the sticky middle of July. Saturday mornings the market fills Cameron Park and half the neighborhood walks home past every yard on the route, which is its own kind of accounting. Come April there is winter sand to sweep off the terrace; come November there is the last of the leaves. Ordinary work, done on time, and it makes a block feel tended from one corner to the other.
