About Valley View Lawn Services

East and south of the city the coulees run back into the hills in long green hollows, each one holding a creek, a road and a scatter of houses tucked against the slope. Valley View Lawn Services works that country and the flats below it. Late in summer the mowing goes on into evening, when the heat finally lets go and the shadow of the ridge crosses a yard like a slow tide. The craft is simple and exacting: an even cut, a clean line where turf meets walk, weeds handled before they set seed, and the cleanups that bracket the growing season at either end. A lawn done right in a coulee reads all the way from the top of the road — one bright, level rectangle in all that folded green.
