About DP'S SERVICES LLC

A clipper drops down out of the northwest with almost no warning, and by two in the morning the valley is nothing but headlights and horizontal snow. That hour belongs to DP'S SERVICES LLC — plowing drives, clearing walks, opening the way out before La Crosse has to be anywhere. There is a particular pride in the final pass across a driveway apron: banks squared off, pavement showing dark, the walk cut wide enough for a stroller or a cane. By sunrise the wind has quit, the cold has settled hard, and the street looks like it was never buried at all. Somebody wakes up, glances out the window, and simply goes about their day — which is the entire point of the night.
